The Lakeport Police Department has issued a traffic advisory for tomorrow, as students return to classes for the first day of school. Drivers should expect heavier than normal traffic near school campuses. There will be an increased traffic enforcement presence in those areas. Watch for students waiting for buses, walking, or riding bicycles to school. Also, drivers are reminded that traffic must stop in both directions for school buses when stopped and red lights are flashing.
