In response to concerns voiced by the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors at their meeting in June, the county has announced that it will now charge fees for public records requests, due the volume of requests for access by requesters who were not residents of Mendocino County and some who were commercial entities. According to the MendoVoice, the fee structure went into effect last week. After concerns voiced from local media, the county will set aside a grant fund for those types of requests.
