The man suspected of child abandonment and the death of one of two children has refused to appear. Edward Two Feathers Steel was ordered to stand before a judge but refused to attend. Steele faces two felony charges of child endangerment and felony murder in the second degree. The court will reattempt Steele’s arraignment later this morning. Failing to appear could result in a separate felony charge.
