A former Lieutenant with the Willits Police Department is under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s office. A search warrant was served on the home of Derek Hendry. According to local news service MendoFever, LCSO Public Information Officer Lauren Berlin stated that the major crimes unit is conducting the investigation at the behest of the Willits Police Department.
