The judge presiding over former Ukiah Police officer Kevin Murray’s sentencing yesterday addressed his victims and stated “that nothing said or done can restore what’s been taken from them.” According to the Ukiah DailyJournal, in a packed courtroom, Mendocino Superior Court Judge Ann C. Moorman sentenced Murray to two years suspended, with two years supervised probation to begin immediately. Moorman explained that thesentence is not a slap on the wrist for Murray, as it has very specific requirements and if he violates even one, he will go to state prison rather than county jail.
