Blue-Green Algae Contamination Advisory for Clearlake Water Users

An advisory remains in effect for those residents who get their drinking water through private intakes from Clearlake along the shoreline of the Lower and Oaks arms of the lake. Levels of blue-green algae are such that one should not use the water for drinking or cooking. The Lake County News reports twenty-five gallons per week of drinking water is available at filling stations in Clearlake provided by Golden State Water Co., and in Kelseyville provided by Mt. Konocti Mutual Water Co.
