A man walking along an off-ramp on Highway 101 in Mendocino County was struck and killed early Wednesday morning. The CHP reports the man struck has been identified as Robert Jay Watson of Stockton. Watson was wearing dark clothing, walking north when he was hit by an SUV and was thrown down an embankment. The driver of the vehicle stopped and called 911.
