A large number of seats on the local school board and special district boards are open to be filled with the election this fall. The first day a candidate may file for office is Monday and the last day is Friday, Aug. 13, at 5 p.m. Official declaration of candidacy forms may be obtained from the Lake County Registrar of Voters office in person.
