Primary Election Results Are In for Mendocino County

The results are in from the June 7th primary election in Mendocino County.  42% of registered voters made their way to the polls, over 5% more than what was expected.  The only race in which an incumbent was defeated was for county superintendent of schools, where Nicole Glentzer defeated Michelle Hutchins.  Sheriff Matthew Kendall won his race against write-in candidate Trent James.   District 3 Supervisor John Haschak defeated challenger Clay Romero and District 5 Supervisor Ted Williams defeated challenger John Redding.  Voters overwhelmingly passed Anderson Valley School District’s bond measure M.   Incumbents Congressman Jared Huffman, State Senator Mike McGuire, and Assemblyman Jim Wood each won their races against challengers.
