The Lake County Board of Supervisors has appointed an interim Public Health officer after the resignation of Dr. Erik McLaughlin on the 21st. At its regular meeting on Tuesday, County Admin Officer Susan Parker asked the board to consider appointing Dr. Gary Pace, who has previously held the position until a replacement is found. The board unanimously approved Dr. Pace’s appointment and contract, which runs from June 22nd through July 31st. The board also approved a contract with Mosaic Public Partners for the recruitment of a permanent public health officer.
