At their meeting on Wednesday, the Lake County Board of Supervisors approved a recommended budget for fiscal year 2022-23, including the approval of a budget transfer from the Sheriff’s Department. The proposed budget came in at just under $337,450,000. Sheriff Brian Martin requested a Department budget transfer and presented staffing concerns as the office is having trouble recruiting and retaining staff. The budget transfer was unanimously approved.
