The City of Ukiah has said it has no comment on Police Chief Noble Waidelich being under investigation other than to say he’s been put on paid administrative leave. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s office is handling the investigation in the suits brought against Waidelich by his former fiance and former county probation officer. Sonoma is handling the investigation due to the close working relationship between Ukiah Police and the Mendocino County Sheriff’s office.
