19 Acres Burned in Wildland Fire in Clearlake Over Weekend

Yesterday evening around 7 pm, firefighters were able to contain a wildland fire in Clearlake that prompted some evacuations along the city’s edge before it was put out. The fire was first reported around 5:30 in the 16,000 block of Boyles Avenue. Lake County Fire, Northshore Fire, and Cal Fire were among the agencies that responded. Evacuations took place along the east side of Wilkinson Avenue to Betz Drive. By 7:30 Clearlake Police reported the fire was contained and evacuations were lifted. The fire burned approximately 19 acres.
