It’s been determined that an unnamed Comcast contractor was responsible for two incidents of drilling through fiber optic cable in the Mendocino county area, which caused telephone and internet outages in the county. After the first incident was reported and fixed, residents were still experiencing outages and that’s when the second incident was discovered. Crews continue to work round the clock to restore services in areas that are currently down. An investigation into the specifics of the contractor responsible for the incidents is ongoing.
