A plane crash in the hills east of Willits resulted in one person being injured and a small brush fire. A Cal Fire helicopter inspected the side at the scene of the crash at the Eden Valley Airstrip and said the brushfire had been put out. The pilot of the plane was transported to Willits by a passing motorist but was unable to give details due to a head injury. The authorities were notified by the driver and pilot when they arrived in Willits. The other passenger was uninjured. The tail number has not yet been obtained.
