After a pause of all well permitting this past march, Lake County has begun issuing well-drilling permits. The governor’s order earlier in the year stopped all drilling due to the driest first quarter of the year in recorded history. One of the requirements now for a domestic use well is that the owner doesn’t take more than two-acre feet of water per year. Those wanting to drill new agricultural wells will still have a number of qualifications to meet before a permit is considered,
