The Mendocino County library system has started a new program that offers check out of wifi-hotspots to allow county residents access to the internet when they need it. 45 hotspots are available across all five library branches and the Bookmobile. Devices are available to be checked out for a 28-days on a first-come, first-served, walk-in basis. Each Wi-Fi hotspot kit contains a hotspot device, charging adaptor, and instructions.
