The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office is telling people to be on the lookout for a suspect in a murder in Humboldt County. Austin Michael Medeiros of Warwick, Rhode Island is thought to be headed to Mendocino County and may be hitchhiking. Motorists are advised to avoid picking up hitchhikers. Medeiros is a white male, 27 years old, 5’6” tall, 125 lbs, with long brown/blonde hair and hazel eyes. He is believed to have a tattoo under one eye. Anyone who sees Medeiros is advised not to approach him, but call 911 immediately.
