At their regular meeting earlier in the week, the Lake County Board of Supervisors decided to form a drought group to help the county come up with a water shortage contingency plan. According to the Lake County News, with increasing heat and a shortage of rain in the past years and to be in accordance with state policy, concern over water is primary in the county, which is why the group is being formed. District 2 Supervisor Bruno Sabatier remarked collaboration by as many groups that are impacted by the drought is key.
