The Mendocino Nationa Forest is offering free personal use fire permits for the 2022 season. Visitors can obtain a permit in person at the Upper Lake Ranger District station and at the forest headquarters office in Willows. Both of those offices have limited hours, so residents should check the office schedule before going over. Permits are also available by mail.
