Clearlake City Council to Consider Outside Financing for Roadwork

The Clearlake City Council meets tomorrow evening at 6 and the main item on the agenda will be to hold a public hearing on a proposed plan to finance roadwork in the city. A financing plan presented last month included the possibility of debt financing directly through a bank or other financial entity, which would then allow the city to do millions of dollars worth of work upfront, rather than doing smaller projects yearly based on the $2.5 million in annual revenue from the Measure V sales tax that’s dedicated to road improvements.
