Work has begun on an extension of the City View Trail in Ukiah. Recently, the Ukiah Trail Group and other volunteers began mapping the new loop, and when that was done, entrances to the new trail were marked with signs announcing a public hearing before the city council. The council approved the project, which includes building a fence to separate the trail, which is on city property from the private property directly adjacent to the trail. A crew from the California Conservation Corps has begun work on the project, which will hopefully be open in the summer.
