Two structure fires were reported in Lake County over the weekend, one resulted in the death of an elderly man. The Lake County Fire Protection District responded to a fire at the Leisure Time Mobile Home Park on Sunday, where it is thought a kitchen fire got out of control in a fifth-wheel RV. The 72-year-old occupant of the home died, his name has not been released pending notification of relatives. The second fire on the same day was at a residence in the 3200 block of Old Highway 53 in Clearlake. Although the porch was severely damaged, firefighters managed to save the house. A Monday morning fire in Clearlake Oaks burned an RV and a garage and sent a man to the hospital for minor injuries.
