Mendocino County to Receive A Portion of Almost $1 Million Upgrade Broadband for Students

The FCC’s Emergency Connectivity Fund Program will soon allow Schools and libraries in Mendocino county to close the homework gap, with nearly $1 million allocated to improve internet access for children, better-allowing students to take advantage of online learning resources. The funding will help cover the costs of computers, wi-fi hotspots, broadband connectivity purchases for off-campus use. The Mendocino Unified School District, Public Library, as well as school districts in Fort Bragg, Laytonville, Willits, Leggett Valley, and Anderson Valley will all receive a portion of that funding.
