The Mendocino County Public Health Department reported on Friday that a positive case of the Omicron subvariant BA2 has been confirmed by the county. Cases of the BA2 subvariant have been detected around the state since the beginning of the year. The county has just been notified that the first local case of BA2 was found in early March. Public Health states it “will continue to analyze test results and monitor the number of BA.2 cases carefully and advises everyone to continue to practice best virus habits .
