The Governor yesterday issued a state of emergency order for 16 counties including Lake and Mendocino to support the ongoing recovery from the “atmospheric river” storms that caused widespread damage to roads and other infrastructure last October. The order directs Cal Trans and other agencies to request immediate federal assistance to repair and reconstruct damages caused by the storms.
