At their meeting on Monday, the Fort Bragg city Council voted to extend the city’s temporary halt to approving new cannabis dispensaries through mid April, as cannabis businesses face delays due to the decision. Several of those business owners urged the city not to extend the moratorium as they’re continuing to accrue costs with no sales. On the subject of COVID-19, Mayor Bernie Norvell said at the beginning of the meeting that with new state and federal guidance, Fort Bragg would soon be returning to in-person meetings and will discuss moving forward at their next meeting on the 14th.
