The Ukiah Planning Commission on Friday approved a permit for a cannabis dispensary on Seminary Avenue near City Hall. After addressing some initial concerns about the dispensary being close to meetings for people recovering from substance abuse, the vote was unanimous. The permit applicant made note of the fact that he was being sensitive to area, choosing a name that didn’t immediately bring cannabis to mind and keeping signage to a simple minimum.
