Redwood Valley Resident Sees Repeated Visits by Mountain Lion

A resident of Redwood Valley has seen repeated visits by a mountain lion. Sarah Harris reported the cat to the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Tom Batter, a biologist with the Mendocino division of the department said he wasn’t aware of the report but says that the species is protected, and that residents should exercise caution with regard to pets and other attractions to the animal. Miss Harris says she simply wants her neighbors to be aware of the cats presence in the area so that they can be safe.
