The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors is holding a special meeting on Wednesday to address a range of issues related to cannabis. The discussion includes changes the name of the county’s program from “??Mendocino County Cannabis Program” to “Mendocino County Cannabis Department,” intended to reflect the program’s journey from part of the agricultural department, to planning and building services, to becoming a stand-alone department in 2021. Creating an appeals process for permit application denials, and other cannabis concerns in the county will also be discussed .
