Mendocino Coast Recreation and Park District Receives Funding, Will Use to Fix CV Starr Center

The Mendocino Coast Recreation & Park District announced it has received $602,160.00 in funding, which it plans to use for the operation and improvement of the C.V. Starr Community Center. The funding is made available from a $100 million allocation provided by the State Legislature and Governor Gavin Newsom in the 2021-2022 State Budget. The funding will allow for repairs to the boiler system at the center. The funding comes after special districts across the state had to cut budget and staff thanks to the pandemic.
