Lane County Agricultural Value Continues to Slip

The total value of Lake County agriculture has dropped to a level not seen in a decade. The 2020 Ag Report says the county’s 2020 gross agricultural value is down 30% from the previous year. Significant downturns in the area of winegrapes, walnuts and timber negatively affected the county’s bottom line. Winegrapes alone account for the majority of the ag value in Lake County currently. The county’s highest-ever ag value, $120,753,532, was reached in 2017 and has been in decline ever since.
