An exemption that would allow a Lakeport apartment complex to house more low-income residents, including Cachefire survivors has been granted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Martin Street Apartments will now be available to any qualifying low-income family, with priority being give to farm labor applicants. Of the families affected by the Cache fire being tracked, there were three still in need of housing assistance.
