At the next meeting of the Clearlake City Council on Thursday, one of the main items on the agenda will be to consider support for the Lake Area Planning Council’s plan to form a regional energy network. According to the Lake County News, City Manager Alan Flora’s report to the council said that Rural RENs are a solution for energy efficiency programs that would serve the residents of the area. Lake APC will also give a report on a business plan being formed to submit to the California Public Utilities Commission for the Rural REN.
