In Willits, the Brooktrails Community Service District met mid December and approved a rate increase for garbage rates of about $5 a year for the average customer. The district also reported receiving $280,000 from the California Water and Wastewater Arrearage Payment program to be applied to the delinquent accounts of customers who were behind due to the pandemic.
