Seven Mendocino County Fisheries Projects Funded by State Dept. of Fish and Wildlife

Fifteen Fisheries Habitat Restoration Program projects have been approved by the California State Department of Fish and Wildlife, seven of which will be in Mendocino County. Total funding for the county projects is just under $5 million. The projects will focus on recovery habitats for salmon and steelhead recovery . The Brandon Gulch Stream, the East Branch of the North Fork of Big River, Garcia River Estuary, the Albion River/Tom Bell Creek, the Upper South Fork of the Eel River, Soda Creek and Dry Dock Gulch will all see funding from $150,000 to just under $1.5 million for their particular projects.
