Mendocino County Chief Executive Officer Carmel Angelo Steps Down

“A frustrating tenure full of speed bumps on the road to progress” is how former Mendocino County Chief Executive Carmel Angelo described her time in office in an interview with local public radio. Angelo announced this week that she is stepping down for the position she’s held for more than a decade. When the Ukiah Daily Journal asked how the Board of Supervisors planned to replace Angelo, Supervisor Maureen Mulhern said that question had been posed to the board at its meeting in late January, and that it is a complex question, given the nature of the position.
