The Fort Bragg city council yesterday hired a new city manager. In their regular meeting, the council approved the acceptance of an employment offer to Dave Spaur, who will serve as the interim City Manager effective immediately. The council also heard a report from police captain Thomas O’Neal on the winter weather shelter situation. This was the first time the police department has managed the program, as no other organization was available to do so this year. The shelter first opened on Dec. 11th and has been open for 19 nights, providing beds for 101 people.
