Applications for the 2022 Fire Safe Micro Grant Program in Mendocino County will begin being accepted tomorrow and will be taken through March 1st. The program provides direct financial assistance to groups working to improve wildfire preparedness in the county. Applications are limited to one per organization and will be considered for projects needing between $2,000 to $6,000 dollars. Applications will be reviewed in March and applicants will be notified no later than the end of March. The grant program is designed to foster progress toward wildfire resiliency and build strong relationships between Neighborhood Fire Safe Councils and Fire Departments.
