Middletown Unified School District Holds Off on Vaccine Mandate Resolution

Several school districts across the area have been responding to Governor Newsom’s mandate that would add the COVID-19 vaccination to the list of required vaccinations students need to have in order to participate in instruction in the classroom and would also require school employees to be vaccinated. Districts have requested that the language be changed from required to recommended. Middletown Unified School Board Wednesday postponed their vote on an almost identical resolution, due to varying opinions from the board on that matter.
