Measure to Pave the Way for New Kelseyville Fire Protection District Station Fails

A measure that would have paved the way for the construction of a new Kelseyville Fire Protection District station along the Soda Bay corridor has failed, as Measure A failed to pass in a mailed-in, non-polled special election. Kenneth Mostem of MK Election Services gave the KFPD Board of Directors the results in a letter after votes had been counted on the 22nd. The measure needed a two-thirds majority to pass. An estimated 150 ballots remain at large and Mostem indicated that MK would complete the tally and certify the count when the canvass reopens on January 4th.
