The lights are still out for a small number of PG&E customers in the area south of Philo and N of the Boonville airport along Hwy 128. Last night, customers reported hearing loud booms before power went down. A city utility worker confirmed the probable cause of the outage was a mylar balloon tangled in power lines. The number of total customers affected is unknown as Ukiah is on an independent municipal grid. Power was restored to most areas sometime after 9:30 last night.
