Konocti Unified School Board Asks State Not to Impose Vaccine Mandate

The Konocti Unified School Board has passed a resolution asking the state not to impose a COVID-19 vaccination mandate for students and staff. The resolution is in response to Governor Newsom’s announcement in the Fall that the COVID-19 vaccine would be added to the list of shots students must have in order to attend school in person, and that the “verify or test” requirement for school staff would become a vaccination mandate. Other school districts in the area have met or will meet on the subject and seem to be in agreement on this course of action.
