6.2 Magnitude Quake Shakes Coast As Far South as Oregon

A magnitude 6.2 earthquake shook the North Coast west of Petrolia yesterday afternoon, according to the USGS. NWS in monitoring seismic activity said no tsunami’s were expected with that offshore temblor that was felt as far south as Carmel on the central coast and well into Southern Oregon. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s office working with local partners said no damage was identified due to the quake.
