Substitute Teachers in Ukiah USD Getting Bump In Pay

Thanks to the pandemic, the demand for qualified educators is challenging districts across the state. The latest steps taken to insure the Ukiah Unified School District will have enough substitute teachers for the school year includes an increase in pay for subs. The district has bumped up rates for substitutes from $150 a day to $200, starting on the 29th and running through the end of the school year. Also, the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is waiving the application fee for substitutes.
