The Lake County Board of Supervisors will meet tomorrow to consider drafting a letter to the California Public Utilities commission opposing a rate increase by Pacific Gas and Electric that would affect most Lake County residents. The proposed rate increase of 4.9% is to help PG&E recover expenditures related to wildfire mitigation and other catastrophic events. The letter will outline the hardship caused by the proposed increase and the lack of services due to some 205 outages over the course of the last 8 months.
