Cleanup of hazardous waste created by the Hopkins Fire in Calpella is well underway, according to a report by the county’s Disaster Recovery Field Operations Coordinator, Travis Kilmer. 35 properties were assessed and a large amount of debris removed. Remaining materials that require heavy equipment to move are next on the list. That work is expected to begin in early December. A Virtual Town Hall is scheduled for the 29th from 4-6 pm to answer any questions the public may have.
