PG&E Reps Get Local Feedback

The Lake County Board of Supervisors heard from PG&E last week about their efforts to reduce wildfire potential. As for efforts to lessen the impacts of public power safety shutoffs, the utility says they are focusing on areas of the highest risk and continue to make adjustments. Supervisors urged PG&E to reduce the number of PSPS events, and expressed a need for reimbursement when people lose food and supplies as a result of an outage. Residents also provided feedback at the meeting. Their suggestions included increased notification time, and addressing the loss of internet and cell phone services during an outage.
