A wildland fire in Clearlake was quickly contained yesterday. The Box Fire was first reported around 1:30 p.m. yesterday on Dam Road, it was 2 acres with a high rate of spread. But in only 15 minutes, Lake County Fire reported forward progress had been stopped. When the fire first broke out, some citizens who were driving by the area pulled over to help until additional resources arrived.
