An investigation is underway after a dead body was found in the trunk of a car near Covelo on Sunday. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reports the body of what appears to have been a man was discovered by a warden with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife who was investigating a vehicle parked in the 27000 block of Mendocino Pass Road. No further details on the case have been released.
